Assets Serial number extension for Vtiger is mainly for businesses that work with physical products and stock. Every product has a serial number. With Assets Serial Number, you can list all products with their serial number in the Assets module.
If a product is NOT listed with its serial number in the assets, you can add it in
purchase orders
Invoices
Once a product and its serial number are added in a, e.g., purchase order, the product will be automatically added to your stock on CRM too. You will have much more freedom of movement when it comes to adding products with serial numbers, as you won’t be limited to go to the assets module to add products anymore.

Assets Serial Number extension for Vtiger allows you to define serial numbers for your products. If you provide your customers with services and products that need to be with a serial number later on for after sales services or guarantee purpose, this extension is just right for you.
User Guide and Configuration
This module is applied on “Purchase Orders” and “Invoices”.
Follow the path below
Menu > Purchase Orders
Choose Receive Shipment.

You will be able to define purchase serial numbers and some notes for each of them if necessary.

Now it’s time to sell the abovementioned serial numbers. To do so, go to Menu> Invoices
And choose Send Shipment.

Here, by a click on the serial numbers defined in Purchase Orders are visible and ready to be sold. Pick the serial numbers as desired.

The list of serial numbers is available and a note for each of the serial numbers can be set as well.

To view the purchase order or invoice in details, you can click on assets tab so that every created asset would be visible.
