Since CRM contains important confidential data, you might be worried about alien attempts to log in to your system. Good news is that concerns about CRM security are now over thanks to Two-Step Verification for Vtiger.

NOTE: To send codes via E-mail and SMS, outgoing email server and SMS settings must be set active. In addition, users need to have an active email address and phone number listed in their CRM user profile as well as outgoing email and SMS servers.

Configuration

Initial configuration can be done through 

Settings > CRM settings > Configuration > Two step verification 

• Two step verification status needs to be set active.
• To receive codes through email, SMS, backup codes or authentication softwares, set them active. 
• The codes’ length can be defined if they are chosen to be active. 
• You can also point out the number of days you would like the user(s) to be remembered by the system once you enter the authentication code.

After saving the changes, Two-step verification option will be added to the user’s profile. 

Choose “My Preferences”

In My Preferences, from More> Two-Step verification, you’d get to complete the configuration.

1. Mobile phone and Primary Email are required fields. 
2. Set the status active
3. You’d see a number of backup codes featured as you’ve previously chosen. 
4. If you wish to use an authenticator software, enable the option.

   

5. Click on Next Step
6. Scan the generated QR code with your device and enter the code you receive. 
7. This message shows that the verification setup is done successfully

User Guide

1- Insert your username and password on login page

2- Enter the authentication code you received through authentication apps, SMS, or email.
